New Tech: Jelly “The Social Search App"

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Envisioned by friends Biz Stone and Ben Finkel as a new way to search, Jelly encourages users to rely on their “six degrees of separation” to help each other answer questions. The social search engine differentiates itself by using images and social networks to source personalized responses from friends and their contacts. Users can ask questions accompanied by images that can be cropped, reframed, zoomed and drawn on to clarify. Friends connected with the user’s social media profiles can also forward the question to people who don’t have Jelly to broaden the search. The app is currently available for download through the App Store and through Google Play(SOURCE)
