New Article: Lady Gaga Supreme Photo Shoot

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Lady Gaga went to the extremes in a new raunchy photo shoot for Supreme, a New York City-based line of clothing and skateboarding gear.

A behind-the-scenes video posted online by photographer Terry Richardson features the "Born This Way" songstress fondling her breasts, touching her nether regions and provocatively licking her arm.

In the few parts where the pop star, 24, is clothed, she's wearing only skimpy black lingerie or a wet white t-shirt bearing the Supreme logo.

The minute-long video also shows Gaga naked with a Supreme skateboard and handbag blocking her now-infamous assets.

Oddly, a few seconds of the video features the singer in the aforementioned lingerie holding the hand of a young boy. It is unknown who the child is or why he was in the shoot.

Some of the less raunchy shots were turned into posters that can be seen on the streets of Manhattan, Richardson revealed on his blog.

New Article: Esperanza Spalding Wins 2011 Grammy For Best New Artist

Monday, February 14, 2011

Grammy Awards 2011 winner for Best New artist, Esperanza Spalding broke the Bieber Fever on Sunday night, turning the heat on herself.

The relatively unknown 26-year-old jazz bassist and singer, who tweeted, "what an amazing night!!!" after the show, ended up making Justin Bieber and his fans "upset."

Though Bieber put on a happy face during the ceremony, the "Baby" singer later tweeted his real feelings about losing to the music teacher from Portland, Ore.

"...of course I wanted to win," he tweeted. "Its been & still is a dream to win a grammy. Was I upset...yes.

Bieber said he was "happy" for Spalding, but that didn't appear to sate the 16-year-old pop star's fans.

Following her win, Spalding's Wikipedia page was reportedly attacked with random taunts and errors that were swiftly removed by someone from the website team, MTV.com reports.

"Justin Bieber deserved it go die in a hole," one person wrote. "Who the heck are you anyway?"

At the end of Spalding's biography, another hacker wrote "Biber 4 Lyfe," suggesting a team representing Bieber’s rabid fans were behind the stunt.

While Spalding's rep had no comment on the matter, the singer herself admitted she felt the award wasn't solely hers.

"I don't really think this is for me; it's for all of us," she told MTV.com after the Grammys. "And I wish they could all be here to put one finger on this with me."

Alongside Montreal band Arcade Fire, who won Album of the Year Sunday night, Spalding's win was one of the biggest surprises of the night.

A little known newcomer to the mainstream music industry, Spalding released her major-label debut, the self-titled "Esperanza," in 2008, which she recorded as an instructor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., and that a writer in The New Yorker described as "jazz for the iPod age."

"While the music was indisputably jazz, it suggested an almost bewildering array of influences—fusion, funk, soul, R. & B., Brazilian samba and Cuban son, pop balladry, chanted vocalese—with lyrics sung in Spalding’s three languages, English, Portuguese, and Spanish," John Colapinto wrote.

The jazz musician has released two other albums besides "Esperanza": "Junjo" in 2006 "Chamber Music Society" last August.

A young music prodigy like her rival, Bieber, Spalding was concertmaster for the Chamber Music Society of Oregon at the tender age of 15. She has since performed with the likes of M. Ward, Noise for Pretend and Stanley Clarke.

New Article: NY Yankee Pitcher Andy Pettitte Announces Retirement

Friday, February 4, 2011

Pettitte, 38, finishes his career with a 240-138 (.635) record and 3.88 ERA (3,055.1 IP, 1,317 ER) in 479 starts over 16 Major League seasons with the Yankees (1995-2003 and '07-10) and Houston Astros (2004-06). He is one of just 26 pitchers all-time to complete his career 100-or-more games over .500. Of the 19 Hall of Fame-eligible pitchers who have reached that plateau, only "Parisian" Bob Caruthers, who went 218-99 from 1884-92, is not enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Originally selected by the Yankees in the 22nd round of the 1990 First-Year Player Draft, Pettitte played 13 seasons with the club, going 203-112 with a 3.98 ERA (2,535,2 IP, 1,122 ER) and 1,823 strikeouts in 405 games (396 starts). In franchise history, he ranks second in strikeouts and starts, third in wins, fourth in innings pitched and eighth in appearances (405). He appeared in eight career World Series (seven as a Yankee), winning championships with the club in 1996, '98, '99, 2000 and '09.

Pettitte is the all-time winningest pitcher in postseason history, going 19-10 with a 3.83 ERA in 42 career starts. He also ranks first all time in postseason starts and innings pitched (263.0), and is tied for second with 173 strikeouts. His personal career postseason win total is more than that of nine other franchises (Kansas City-18; Arizona-15, Seattle-15, San Diego-12, Tampa Bay-10, Colorado-9, Milwaukee-9, Texas-9, and Montreal/Washingon-5). As a Yankee in the postseason, he went 18-9 with a 3.79 ERA (237.2 IP, 100 ER) in 38 career starts. While winning his final World Series with the Yankees in 2009, he became the first pitcher in Baseball history to start and win the clinching game of three series in a single postseason (ALDS vs. Minnesota, ALCS vs. Los Angeles-AL and WS vs. Philadelphia).

P.S. Thanks for the memories Andy!

New Article: Elisabetta Canalis In Roberto Cavalli 2011 Summer / Spring Campaign

Elisabetta Canalis is once again burning up the scene with some racy Roberto Cavalli Underwear ads –- the second consecutive campaign for the Italian model and television presenter, who is also enviously known around the world as George Clooney‘s girlfriend. Shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the ads feature Canalis in a seductive georgette push-up bra and culottes from the “tiger print” series, an iconic print from the spring/summer 2011 collection. “For my new underwear collection I chose Elisabetta again… my ideal of a woman: charm, charisma and sensuality, united together,” Roberto Cavalli says in a statement. “With her Mediterranean beauty and intense gaze she’s interpreted an intriguing and super-feminine woman.”

P.S. This is why George Clooney is my hero, LOL!!!!

New Article: Bullied Teen Meets Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson

A heartbreaking video shows 13-year-old Nadin Khoury getting kicked, dragged through the snow, and then hoisted into a tree, allegedly by six of his classmates. He tries to run away but is hung by his coat on a tall metal fence. Thursday, Nadin and his mother, Rebecca Wright, appeared on "The View."

"They're messing with me because I'm one of the smallest ones. When we first moved into the area they saw that my mom was African, and they made fun of my mom a lot," said Nadin. "I watched the tape, and I just broke down. ... It's just something that no parent wants to see," said Wright.

But Nadin faced the problem head on and has been hailed as a hero for coming forward, exhibiting bravery that earned him a special surprise.

"Please welcome pro bowl wide receiver Desean Jackson, center Jamaal Jackson and Todd Herremans," Elizabeth Hasselbeck announced.

"They wanted to make sure they were here to be with you," said "View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

"You're brave, because this happens every day and people are not brave enough to stand up and take this on," Desean Jackson said.

Jackson gave Nadin an Eagles jersey and made him an unofficial teammate of the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Anytime ever you need us, I've got two linemen right here ... my boys are ready to come down," Jackson said.

Nadin's dream is to be a Marine one day, and perhaps score an appearance on another popular talk show.

After the show, Nadin said, "I don't even know if it's real or not! I'm still waiting on a call from Oprah."

Nadin was captured on his way home from school last month. After he was attacked and hung on a fence, a Good Samaritan came by, took Nadin off the fence and walked him home. He was not seriously injured.

"They could have killed that kid, impaling him by the neck on that metal barrier. This kid was screaming for help, and they beat this kid. ... It's bullying. It's bullying in America at its worst. It's caught on video," Michael Chitwood, the superintendent of Upper Darby Police said at a press conference.

Chitwood said the arrests at Upper Darby High School are related to a Jan. 11 assault at an apartment complex courtyard. The video was taken by one of the seven alleged attackers.

Nadin said he was terrified.

"I tried to get out, tried to leave, tried to escape, tried to get up the tree and run away, but even when I did that ... they attacked me, and they caught me again," Nadin told ABC News.

"This is scary man. This is crazy -- there is nothing you can do to protect your own kids," Nadin's mom told ABC News, crying. "What can I do about it? I'm a single person. I got two hands and two feet. I can't fight a whole group, I can't fight a whole school, I can't fight a whole district."

It's still not clear what prompted the attack. The students attend an alternative school for troubled teenagers.

The district's superintendent released this statement: "Although the news report of this incident may appear to give Upper Darby High School a public relations black eye, please know that the safety of every child in this district is of our utmost importance. ... I'll take a black eye in the press anytime if it keeps a child safe."
