William Nicholson (
Gladiator, Les Miserables).
Idris Elba leads the film which chronicles Nelson Mandela's life journey from his childhood in a rural village through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected president of South Africa.
Naomie Harris (
Skyfall) co-stars as Mandela's wife Winnie with a supporting cast that also includes
Tony Kgoroge,
Riaad Moosa,
Zolani Mkiva,
Deon Lotz and
Terry Pheto.
The Weinstein Company will give the film a limited release starting November 29th.
