New Auto: Bugatti Legends Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille Edition

As a tribute to Grand Prix racing’s most iconic figures, Bugatti has announced its six-part “Bugatti Legends” limited edition collection. All six designs from the Legends collection are based on the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grant Sport Vitesse, and the first is a tribute to historic Grand Prix Motor Racing driver and Bugatti’s own Jean-Pierre Wimille, who dominated two 24 Hours of Le Mans wins with Bugatti in 1937 and 1939. The car itself draws inspiration from these specific victories, borrowing design aesthetics from the Bugatti 57G Tank that Wimille drove in 1937, and is finished with a French signature blue clear-coated carbon fiber and light Wimille Bleu paintwork. Powered by an 8.0 liter, W16 quad-turbo engine and capable hitting 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds, the Jean-Pierre Wimille edition is a fitting tribute to the driving legend.

New Tech: Google Brings Internet Entertainment To Television

Google recently announced the release of the Google Chromecast, a pint-sized streaming gadget priced at $35 USD and an absolute tech game changer. Selling out at the Google Play store within hours of its product announcement, the dongle acts as a streaming medium between your phone or computer, and your TV. Packaged with a free three-month Netflix subscription, what really makes this product unique is its cross platform compatibility. iOS and Android user-friendly, the Chromecast can stream from any Chrome browser (Mac or Windows) or via the Chrome tab projection, and once the two devices are connected so are their playback control systems, meaning volume control and pause/play options can be altered via your phone, tablet or computer.

New Gear: Undefeated x Casio G-Shock 30th Anniversary Watch

Having initially hit select stockists like colette a few days ago, the Agenda Show Long Beach offered up a closer look at the latest 30th Anniversary Undefeated x Casio G-Shock DW6901UD-3. The classic G-Shock model is draped in trademark Undefeated military green and sees a Five Strike logo hit across the face as well as an embroidery tag along the strap. Muted, tonal face coloring and contrasting black buttons and insignia rounds out the anniversary timepiece. New Tech: Blackberry A10 Rumor Roundup

Yes, BlackBerry is going to be launching another smartphone running BlackBerry 7 in 2013, but don’t let that make you think it has given up on BlackBerry 10. On several occasions, it has made it quite clear we’re to expect something special running BB10 before the end of the year.

Rumors have started to spread about a device codename Aristo, which could be named the BlackBerry A10 if it’s officially launched, and it is indeed something a little bit special. If the rumors are correct, it could be BlackBerry’s first truly large screen smartphone.

Prior to BlackBerry 10’s official launch, BlackBerry’s marketing chief said we should expect six BlackBerry 10 phones on sale this year – so far we’ve had the Z10, Q10, and Q5 – and subsequently, CEO Thorsten Heins has said he was excited about one particular product, said to take the user experience to, “another level,” which may make it into stores before the end of the year. An analyst has also speculated a 5-inch smartphone could be on BlackBerry’s roster for 2013. Could the BlackBerry A10 be the phone Heins is describing? Possibly, so let’s take a look at everything we think we know about the BlackBerry smartphone/tablet hybrid.

A Long Time Coming

A rumor featuring a device known as the Aristo first appeared way back in October 2012, that’s several months before BlackBerry 10 was even launched. It provided us with a glimpse of a supposedly official internal document, then with Research in Motion branding, and described a phone not unlike the BlackBerry Z10, but with a larger 4.65-inch OLED screen and a quad-core, 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor.

The spec list continued to include 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity, an 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage memory, NFC, a 2800mAh battery, and a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. Over at CrackBerry.com, the device was said to be an A-Series phone, but this was before we knew BlackBerry’s new naming formula.

Rumor Of 1080p

Talk of the Aristo fizzled out until April 2013, when a new rumor popped up describing an updated version of the smartphone. This time, the Aristo was said to be packing a 1.9GHz quad-core processor, a heady 4GB of RAM, and the screen resolution would be bumped up to 1080p. Finally, the battery would get a small boost to 3000mAh.

If this sounds too good to be true, it probably is, as BlackBerry’s Marty Mallick, VP of Global Alliances, said at a conference held in May the company would be keeping it simple for 2013 and concentrating on two screen resolutions, 720 x 720, and 1280 x 720. BlackBerry had also said maintaining two resolutions would be better for developers, and makes a statement to that effect on its own website. If you’re dreaming of a 1080p BlackBerry 10 phone, then you may have some time to wait before one arrives.

5-inch Display

Fast forward to early July and BGR.com printed some new details on the Aristo, calling it the BlackBerry A10, and claiming it will be the, “Most powerful, capable BlackBerry yet.” Oddly, it’s also mentioned the A10 will be aimed at gamers, a genre few associate with BlackBerry devices. The specs have changed again, as this time the screen measures 5-inches, while the processor is a dual-core chip with 2GB of RAM. Apparently, BlackBerry won’t be using a quad-core chip due to problems getting an acceptable level of standby out of the battery.

BlackBerry 10.2

A leaked slide, marked as confidential by BlackBerry, shows another full set of specs, plus that the A10 will run version 10.2 of the BlackBerry 10 operating system. BlackBerry 10.1 has only just started to appear on Z10 phones, although it was installed from the factory on the Q10, and any new features inside 10.2 are a mystery. The slide is dated May 23, and says the A10 will come with a 5-inch, 1280 x 720 pixel OLED screen, a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, NFC, 4G LTE and 16GB of storage.

Video Appearance

Vietnamese website Tinhte.vn has uploaded a video showing what appears to be the BlackBerry A10 in action. The device is shown alongside the BlackBerry Z10, which emphasizes its larger size, plus confirms a 5-inch, high definition AMOLED display and a 2800mAh battery. Interestingly, the device has the model number Z00, so despite the use of the A10 number up until now, it may end up being another Z device when it launches. A feature list printed on the site also backs up the claims above. Check out the video below.

If all that has whet your appetite for a large screen BlackBerry smartphone, you’ll want to know when it’s coming out. As it hasn’t been officially announced yet, all we can offer is speculation, but a report from CNet in June says a BlackBerry source informed them the A10 would launch in November, and that Sprint will be stocking it. Sprint passed on the BlackBerry Z10, but was expected to pick up thnext all-touchscreen BlackBerry 10 device, so this fits in with what we already know.

The question is, if the A10 really will have a 5-inch screen with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and a dual-core processor, is it going to be embraced by smartphone fans used to their 5-inch phones coming with quad-core power and a 1080p screen? If everything goes as expected, we’ll find out before the end of the year. (SOURCE)

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is directed by Justin Chadwick (The Other Boleyn Girl) and written by William Nicholson (Gladiator, Les Miserables). Idris Elba leads the film which chronicles Nelson Mandela's life journey from his childhood in a rural village through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected president of South Africa. Naomie Harris (Skyfall) co-stars as Mandela's wife Winnie with a supporting cast that also includes Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Zolani Mkiva, Deon Lotz and Terry Pheto. The Weinstein Company will give the film a limited release starting November 29th.

New Kicks: Air Jordan XX8 SE “Camo” Preview

Jordan Brand occasionally remixes some of its models by giving it an SE version, or Special Edition. Often times, the SE form resembles the original very closely, with only a few modifications. Yesterday during the Take Flight Tour 2013 that included brand members Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, and Blake Griffin, the latest of the line was first revealed in special edition form on the Air Jordan XX8 SE “Camo”. The upper, which lacks the zip-up sleeve that distinguished the original AJ XX8, features military brown camo with a navy blue tongue and laces. The carbon plating is consistent on the heel and midsole, but this XX8 SE appears far different without the cover.

New Auto: 2014 BMW 4-Series with M Performance Parts

Ahead of next year’s highly-anticipated unveiling, BMW provided a preview of its upcoming M4 – by outfitting the 4-Series Coupe with the M4′s M Performance parts. The result: an automobile significantly more aggressive and powerful than the original 4-Series Concept. A new body kit provides a modified front bumper with a carbon fiber splitter and enlarged air ducts, a new rear bumper with both air extraction ducts and an included diffuser, new side sills, carbon fiber mirror housing, xenon LED headlamps, 20″ alloy wheels, and blackened chrome trim throughout the exterior. Underneath the hood, the M Performance package boosts engine performance for each type of available set-up: the 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel 420d engine is capable of 195 bhp and 309 lb-ft of torque; the 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine of the 428i is capable of 269 bhp and 287 lb-ft of torque; and the 435i’s 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine boasts 336 bhp and 332 lb-ft of torque. Final details include an updated exhaust, tweaked software, and an optional limited-slip differential. Stay tuned for a look at the BMW M4 itself, which is expected to be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show come January 2014.

The lightweight and inconspicuous charger’s design is reminiscent of LaCie’s CooKey USB and features Apple’s Lightning connector on one end and a USB connection on the other. When he's unceremoniously released, he goes on an obsessive quest to find out who did this to him and why, enlisting the help of a young social worker (Elizabeth Olsen) before he eventually tracks down an enigmatic man (Sharlto Copley) who may have all the answers. Also co-stars Samuel L. Jackson, Richard Portnow and Lance Reddick. "Spike Lee is the right filmmaker to reimagine and put his touch onto arguably one of the most talked about thrillers in recent memory." FilmDistrict will release Oldboy on October 25th this year.

New Kicks: Air Jordan 1 ’89 Fire Red / Cement Grey

The Air Jordan 1 ’89 takes a few cues from the Air Jordan 4 for its latest colorway release. Appearing in a glossy red leather upper, the pair features speckled cement grey accents on the tongue, outsole and heel. Finishing touches include the flat black laces and Swoosh peering out from behind a red mesh grill. Look for these when they release at select Jordan retailers for $130 on July 13.

Now he must decide whether or not to come forward to meet some of the offspring when 142 of them file a lawsuit to reveal his identity. Cobie Smulders, Chris Pratt, Britt Robertson and Bobby Moynihan also star in the film hitting theaters October 3rd this fall.

New Kicks: Air Jordan 4 “Toro Bravo"

The Air Jordan 4 “Toro Bravo” is one of the more anticipated Jordan Brand releases this year. It is also a relative rarity that a retro model is widely popular in an all-new colorway. Dressed in Chicago Bulls themed colors, the “Toro Bravo” Jordan 4 cloaks the upper with red nubuck. A black underlay, laces, and accents balance the vivid red color. Black also covers the heel decal and midsole. Cement grey covers the inner lining, tongue branding, and upper and lower lace eyelets on the upper.
