New Article: 10 Yeezy II Colorways We Wish Would Release / Complex Magazine

So the alleged third Nike Air Yeezy II colorway got us thinking: If another colorway was to drop, what would we want to see? And once the concepts started flowing, they just kept coming. We stopped at 10, because it was starting to get almost pathological — and we might have just kept going right up to the release of the Yeezy III (shhhhh). 1) "Black/Infrared” 

Inspiration: Nike Air Jordan VI "Black/Infrared”

Kanye West wears his VIs an awful lot, so why not combine the Yeezy and the Jumpman?

2) "Agassi”

Inspiration: Nike Air Tech Challenge II "Hot Lava”

Because as Andre himself knew full well, image is everything.

3) Blacked Out 

Inspiration: Air Jordan Retro IV "Black Cat”

Who wouldn't wear an all-black Air Yeezy II every day?

4) "Grapes” 

Inspiration: Nike Air Jordan V "Grape”

To be honest, we have no idea why more Nikes and Jordans don't get the "Grape Ice/New Emerald" treatment. The Yeezy II takes it well.

5) "Volt” 

Inspiration: Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4

Everything else got done up in Volt in 2012, why not the Yeezy?

6) "Cool Grey” 

Inspiration: Air Jordan Retro XI "Cool Grey”

Sure, there was a grey take already, but this more subdued look would get more play from those not overtly trying to stunt.

7) "Infrared” 

Inspiration: Nike Air Max 90 "Infrared”

The mesh-style toebox of the Yeezy II lends itself perfectly to classic running colorups — why not start with the best?

8) "Space Jam”

Inspiration: Air Jordan Retro XI "Space Jam” 

Flip the toebox area to ballistic mesh, drop these on Black Friday, and people will skip Thanksgiving dinner (and the parade, and dinner the night before) to line up.

9) "Net/Net” 

Inspiration: Nike Air Yeezy

An easy tribute to the first Yeezy, this primarily tan colorway transfers quite easily to the sequel.

10) "Red/Black” 

Inspiration: Air Jordan Retro V "Toro Bravo”

It probably wouldn't be all suede, but an all-red Yeezy II (which, if you believe the rumors, may have almost happened) would still be most welcome.
