New Tech: Leica M-E Camera

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

Leica‘s new M-E camera marks a return to the roots of the M-System with a focus on essential photographic functions. The most compact full-format camera system in the world, the camera purposely lacks some of the features that are technically possible, instead focusing on essential features such as a superb line of rapid-focusing manual focus M lenses and a discrete and quiet shutter. At its heart, the M-E packs an 18 megapixel high-resolution CCD sensor in full 35mm format attuned to its role in the compact camera. With its functional lines and and purposeful design, the Leica is a camera to be enjoyed for both its aesthetics and its superior performance.
