New Gear: Top 10 Sneakers On The Web December 4-10

Friday, December 10, 2010

With the holidays quickly approaching check out Complex Magazine's Top 10 Sneakers on the web, maybe you will find a gift!

1 ) CNCPTS x New Balance 999 Preview
Boston footwear retailer CNCPTS has taken the New Balance 999 and splashed it with a wave of nautical influence. The sneaker comes adorned with red, blue, and beige accents against NB's classic gray, and the new issue of Sneaker Freaker has all the details. One can only hope that the wind picks up and CNCPTS' soon to be coveted release reaches shore soon.

2) Fragment Design x Nike Dunk High
This Christmas, all black-everything is over and color returns in Mr. Fragment's newest Nike collaboration. These raspberry lemonade bangers will become available along with a purple version on December 18.

3) Adidas Originals by Originals Kazuki x Jam Home Made
To keep it classy (and modern retro) Kazuki Kuraishi teamed up with Japanese collective Jam Home Made for the Spring 2011 adidas Originals by Originals Kazuki collection. Prints are on trend for spring, and these keep the idea appropriately subtle.

4) HECTIC x mita x New Balance MT580 10th Anniversary
The classic saying goes, "Don't lose the forest for the trees," but who can blame you if you're getting lost to find yourself in these? HECTIC and mita have been doing MT580s forever, and this anniversary edition featuring a woodgrain midsoles might be their best yet. With a December 23 release date, right now is a good time to let your Japanese girlfriend know what you want in your stocking.

5) Nike Zoom Kobe VI
The Kobe VI has been floating around the Web for a few weeks, but we saw the official unveil this week. The Black Mamba-appropriate sneakers feature a "snakeskin" upper composed of partitions of polyurethane, and they're really dope. The shoe also features an inner breathable mesh layer, Flywire, and a dual-layer memory foam for added adhesion. These oh-so-cold (blooded) kicks drop the day after Christmas.

6) Vans Syndicate x WTAPS Buffalo Boot & Sk8 Mid Sherpa
It's no secret that you can judge a man by his shoes. If a dude has on some Vans Syndicate x WTAPS Buffalo Boots or Sk8 Mids, then he's probably got an interesting story to tell. He's also either been to Japan (or has a hookup), because come December 11 that's the only place you'll find these puppies.

7) Nonnative x New Balance CM1500 "Coyote"
New Balance comes together with Japanese-based brand Nonnative to utilize suede, mesh, and smooth leather on the "Coyote" CM1500. Hunting-inspired, Complex-approved.

8) Nike Air Force 1 Mid White/Brown-Gum
Air Forces never go out of style, but the Air Force 1 Mid drifts in and out of the sneakerhead consciousness. We love the white/brown/gum combo we see here, but there's a chance these will go on ice until the warmer weather hits (not literally, of course).

9) Nike SB Dunk High Sport Red/Black
We know this high top re-interpretation of the "True Red" SBs has a July 2011 release date and that's a long ways away, but we're psyched. Just think: when these drop we'll be shouting at ladies and drinking four-ohs on the stoop. #DearSummer

10) Deep x Pro-Keds
We've seen denim and camo done before, but 10.Deep and Pro-Keds' latest collaboration offers up these two go-to textiles in an appealing fashion. Gum soles make everything right with the world, and these are no exception.
