Samsung has just unveiled two new successors to its Galaxy Gear smartwatch: the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. Ditching the Galaxy nomenclature, these two new watches look to revamp Samsung’s smartwatch lineup with lighter, more wearable designs. Both models feature 1.63″ Super AMOLED displays, are powered by 1.0 GHz dual-core processors, and can handle calls and incoming notifications, control media, and display information like the weather in addition to the time. The Gear 2 comes in slightly heavier thanks to the built-in camera but the watches are almost identical in terms of overall dimensions. Both models will be launching worldwide in April 2014.
