New Article: 10 Air Jordan XI Colorways We Wish Would Release / Complex Magazine
On the occasion of the Air Jordan XI Retro "Playoffs" drop (you got yours already, right?) we thought we'd whip up 10 alternate colorways of the Tinker Hatfield classic for Christmases future. Because it's either keep coming back with the same four or five colorways every year, or try something new. Why not create some new classics? So check out 10 Air Jordan XI Colorways We Wish Would Release. (COMPLEX MAGAZINE)
There's definitely some Altitude XIII inspiration here, but the intent is to mix the old with the new. A whole set of black/green Air Jordan retros to accompany the new Air Jordan XX8 would be a great way to launch the newest flagship shoe.
From a colorway everyone hated to a colorway everyone anticipated. There's no denying the flashy XI looks dope in a military drab. Stealth!
3) 49ers
Ray Allen had them gold and green XIs that everyone was fiending for — flip the green to red, and they're still, well, golden.
Jordan's have been holding down the Hoyas for a minute now, either because of that gift Fred Brown pass in '82, or AI representing in '96. Whatever the case, the XI takes on the grey and blue lovely.
How these haven't happened for Carmelo Anthony yet, we have no idea. Because if Jared Jeffries were still a Knick, HE'D have had them already.
The Olympic VIs are nice, Olympic XIs would be better. And no doubt Derek Jeter and C.C. Sabathia would be blessed with cleated versions, too. (You're welcome.)
We know. We know, we know, we know. But sometimes you just have to give the people what they want. Pink laces optional.
The "Concords" have always seemed a misnomer, what with the shade only appearing on the outsole. Why not flip the "Columbias" with that grape tone? Word to Mike Bibby (and Mitch Richmond).
Why not outfit Tinker Hatfield's most audacious Air Jordan design with Nike's most audacious color? Don't be scared by the thought of Volt patent leather. But definitely don't try to match it with anything.
A nod to the "Nick Andersons" from '95 or a makeup to honor Mike's days with the Wizards? Maybe a bronze hit on the outsole answers that question. Actually, switch the Jumpman to orange, and that's Melo's home shoe. Versatile

New Gear: Ronnie Fieg for Sebago Fall / Winter 2012 Bergen & King’s Point Boots
Ronnie Fieg and Sebago are back, adding two special boots to their collaborative Fall / Winter 2012 Collection – the Bergen and the King’s Point. Compared to previous releases, these new silhouettes seem to be much less boat shoe inspired or related. Two proper boots, they do not only convince with premium leathers, but the added Vibram outer sole further adds to the appeal.
“The Bergen boot, now in brown or burgundy, comes specially designed with premium Horween leathers for a slick city look and all-terrain feel. Extra details include corrosive-resistant Sebago eyelets to uphold against harsh elements and a Vibram lug soles for practicality. The King’s Point boot features a full black Horween leather upper that sits on top of a contrasted goodyear welted Vibram outsole. Tied together with leather laces, other key additions include the double padded leather collar and removeable kiltie.”
The Bergen comes in two colorways and will retail for 190 USD, the King’s Point goes for 220 USD. Both will release on RonnieFieg.com, with the Bergen also coming to KITH NYC. (CLICK HERE FOR LINK)

New Whip: 2014 Aston Martin “Vanquish"
After a five-year absence, the Aston Martin Vanquish has returned. However, its arrival as a 2014 model, means the end for the DBS, as the fresh new coupe will replace the outgoing vehicle.
The new Vanquish starts with an all-aluminum monocoque chassis that the automaker calls its “Generation 4 VH” platform. Affixed to the lightweight framework is an aluminum, magnesium alloy and composite body, every single body panel is now carbon-fiber. Compared to its DBS predecessor, Aston Martin claims the new structure is lighter and 25-percent more rigid.
In terms of performance, Aston Martin quotes 0 to 60 mph in just under four seconds with a top speed of 183 mph. With the base price of $279,995, the Vanquish is offered in both 2+0 and 2+2 configurations, but the standard two-seater configuration is highly recommended.
