New Whip: Blue Mercede-Benz SLS AMG Coupe

Tuesday, October 2, 2012

Representing electro-mobility at its most exclusive, this video of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive offers both a further look and proof that sustainability and performance are not mutually averse qualities in a car. The coupe produces no local emissions and generates an astounding 552kW and 740hp, resulting in a 0 to 100 km/h time of only 3.9 seconds. Based on Formula 1 technology, this SLS model utilizes four independent electric motors to propel itself towards those gaudy numbers, making it the most powerful electric car in the world. Aesthetically, the Electric Drive model offers the same gullwing-door access and retains the seductive lines familiar with drivers and car enthusiasts worldwide. Availability and pricing have yet to be released by Mercedes, so look for more information on the new SLS in the coming months.
