Australian director Baz Luhrmann has already delivered tragic romance in the form of Moulin Rouge and his contemporary set adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, but now the filmmaker is telling another classic story in the form of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, in 3D no less. With an amazing main cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton, the adaptation already sounded fantastic, but now the first trailer affirms our excitement with a contemporary feel (a Jay-Z and Kanye West song helps) next to the period setting and story that just works.
