New Video: Will Ferrell En Espanol On Jimmy Kimmel

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Will Ferrell is going out of his way to remind folks that his upcoming movie, Casa de Mi Padre, is entirely in Spanish.

On last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ferrell and Kimmel conducted the entire interview (complete with subtitles) in what Ferrell referred to as "the international language of love."

Following his grand entrance on a fake horse pulled by a couple of briefs-wearing musclemen, Ferrell sat down to chat about his flick, which he considers a viable contender at next year's Oscars.

"If a silent movie can win, why not one which is made in Spanish?" he noted en espaƱol.

Ferrell went on explain how his Spanish-speaking skills are now flawless—"It's like the orange juice on top of a library"—thanks to watching about 400 hours of Dora the Explorer.

Ferrell also made an appearance last night on The Daily Show, where he told Jon Stewart (in English this time) that he learned Spanish specifically for the film.

Hmmm, maybe the guy can be a telenovela star, after all.
