Pee-wee Herman stole the show from Gwyneth Paltrow this weekend on "Saturday Night Live."
The NBC show's Digital Short, in which the star of "Pee-wee's Playhouse" went on a drink-fuelled bender with cast member Andy Samberg, prompted fans to call for Paul Reubens to host "SNL."
"Wow, neat!" Pee-wee tweeted on Sunday when one of his Twitter followers revealed he was a trending topic.
"Merci blah blah!" the 58-year-old star added, when a French fan called the short film a classic.
The video shows Samberg and Pee-wee getting drunk, taking a ride on a mechanical bull, doing the tequila dance and ambushing Anderson Cooper in an alley way with a chair.
When Samberg and Pee-wee return home, they find Chairry, Pterri and Conky have shown up to stage an intervention.
"Even though you're a bad influence," Pee-wee tells Samberg, "You're a great friend."
Samberg's response, of course, is: "I know you are, but what am I?"
But many viewers thought the crowning moment came when Anderson attempted to sit on Chairry and she yelled, "Get the f--- off of me!"
