I called this one on Friday, I respect Roy Jones Jr. but this is what happens when a fighter decides to stick around too long. Hats off to Joe Calzaghe who has done everything he could do in boxing and is retiring on top of his game. Next up to get his ass handed to him Oscar De La Hoya by the Filipino Assassin Manny Pacquiao.

Giants Clip Those Eagles Wings
The NY Giants had another GREAT game against the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles. It was a tight game but the Giants are 8-1 (3-0 in NFC East Divison) and they have the best record in the NFC. Tom Coughlin is an underrated coach in the NFL, and last night should prove to everyone how he is one of the smartest coaches in the leaague. First he challenged the play that ruled Eli over the line of scrimmage which was overturned; this broke the Eagles back. Then with the game winding down he decides not to punt again and declined an Eagles penalty which pinned the Eagle back at the 15 yard line with less than 2 timeouts left in the game and no timeouts; Genious!!!!
Can't say the same for the Eagles coach who not only misused his last 2 timeouts, but also tried to run the ball twice against a tough Giants Defense who stopped them. Why would you take the ball out of Donovan McNabb's hands with the game on the line????? Oh well...... The road gets tougher from here starting with a game against the Baltimore Ravens, LET'S GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heard about the news of Shakir's passing late last night. I didn't know him very well but I had the opprortunity to meet him while doing independent work for Def Jam Records. This man was a very important part of the Def Jam Records movement and he was very invloved with all of the artists at the label. My prayers go out to Shakir Stewart and his entire family. Rest In Peace homie....
