Gimme The Loot", takes place in and around New York City and Brooklyn/Queens. The indie drama stars newcomers
Ty Hickson as Malcolm and
Tashiana Washington as Sofia, two young "writers" from New York, in what is essentially a modern teenage love story. Gimme the Loot is written and directed by New York filmmaker
Adam Leon, making his feature debut after the short “
Killer" previously. It first premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in 2012 and also played the Cannes, Los Angeles and San Francisco Film Festivals. This was shot entirely in/around New York City and it’s being released in limited theaters on March 22nd.
